Adding Contacts Manually
You can create profiles for your contacts one by one directly within the Wave Line app.
Steps to Add a Contact:
- Navigate to the "Contacts" tab (or section) in the app.
- Tap the "Add New Contact" button (or similar '+' icon).
- Fill in the client's contact information:
- Name
- Phone Number(s)
- Email Address (if applicable)
- (Optional) Add Notes relevant to the client (e.g., account details, conversation history summary).
- Tap "Create" to create the client profile.
Note: If you attempt to add a contact that exists in an inbox you are not part of, the creation of the contact will fail. In this case, the admin of the inbox must add you to the inbox in order for you to see and access that client.
Managing Contacts Across Inboxes
Contacts in Wave Line are created for the entire company, meaning they are accessible across all inboxes by default. However, you can choose to share or hide specific contacts from certain inboxes based on your team's needs. For example:
- If you have two Customer Service inboxes, sharing contacts ensures both teams can collaborate and access the same client information.
- On the other hand, a Supply Chain inbox may not need access to customer service contacts, so those can be hidden to keep their contact list focused and relevant.
This flexibility allows you to maintain a clean and organized contact list tailored to the specific needs of each inbox.
The client will now appear in your client list (and any shared inboxes) and can be easily accessed for calls or messages.
